Introduction to Childminding Course

This training pathway will provide you with all of the mandatory training required to enable you to apply to Ofsted to become a child-minder.

 

E-learning modules:

  • Awareness of child abuse and neglect - core level (this module will develop knowledge and awareness of safeguarding young children including statutory referral procedures)
  • Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage (this module will develop knowledge and awareness of the statutory framework which must be adhered to as a registered childminder working with children under the age of 5 years)

E-learning must be completed prior to the face to face training day. Once booked you will be issued with an e-learning licence and you are required to complete the module within 28 days.

 

1 day face to face course:

  • EYFS - Teaching, Learning and Assessment

Following this face to face course the following will be required to be completed:

  • Paediatric First Aid qualification
  • Food Hygiene qualification

Also included in the training package as well as the above is one bespoke visit from a Childcare Development Officer.

Due to the high demand for previous sessions we are pleased to be able to offer an additional briefing session on the new General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) which will apply in the UK from 25 May 2018.

This briefing highlights the key themes of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) to help organisations understand the new legal framework requirements.

What is the GDPR?

Coming into effect on 25 May 2018, GDPR will introduce a number of new data protection obligations for any business that processes people’s personal information, and new rights for those people.

It’s essential your company gets to grips with the changes to ensure compliance, and avoid penalties and fines.
